Our commitment to equal housing opportunity on EchoPM
Last updated: June 29, 2026
EchoPM, Inc. (EchoPM) is committed to fair housing. We expect everyone who uses our platform—property managers, owners, leasing staff, applicants, and tenants—to comply with applicable fair housing laws and to treat people equally in rental housing.
Housing decisions must be based on legitimate, nondiscriminatory criteria—such as ability to pay rent, rental history, and other lawful screening factors—not on who someone is or who they are perceived to be.
EchoPM provides software to help property managers operate leasing workflows. We do not own or manage rental housing, approve or deny applicants, set rent, or make leasing decisions on behalf of users.
Under the U.S. Fair Housing Act and many state and local laws, it is illegal to discriminate in the sale, rental, or financing of housing, or in other housing-related transactions, because of:
Additional protections may apply where you operate or advertise housing (for example, source of income, age, marital status, military status, or other classes under state or local law). You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to your properties.
If you list properties, show units, screen applicants, or make leasing decisions using EchoPM, you must not:
You are solely responsible for your leasing practices, staff training, and compliance with fair housing, landlord–tenant, and screening laws in your jurisdictions.
EchoPM may display application information, screening order status, and links to third-party consumer reports to help property managers review applications. Composite scores or summaries in the product, if shown, are informational worksheets only.
EchoPM does not approve, deny, recommend, or automatically decide housing eligibility. Rental decisions are made by property managers and owners. When a consumer report is used, property managers are responsible for permissible purpose, adverse action notices where required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and fair housing compliance.
See also our Platform Disclaimer and Terms of Service (Fair Housing).
Where required by law, housing providers must consider reasonable accommodations and modifications for persons with disabilities. Examples may include allowing an assistance animal despite a no-pets policy, or permitting a reasonable modification to a unit or common area at the applicant's or tenant's expense where applicable.
EchoPM does not evaluate accommodation requests; property managers must handle those requests directly and in accordance with applicable law.
Listing descriptions, photos, availability, and syndication settings should accurately describe the property and must not unlawfully exclude or discourage protected groups. Automated tools and AI-assisted copy should be reviewed by a human before publication.
If you believe you have experienced unlawful discrimination in housing, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or your state or local fair housing agency. HUD's Housing Discrimination Complaint Form is available at hud.gov.
To report a concern about conduct on EchoPM (for example, a listing that appears discriminatory), contact us at support@echopm.app. We may review reports and take action on accounts that violate our Terms, but we are not a government enforcement agency and cannot resolve fair housing disputes between users.
This statement summarizes fair housing principles for users of our platform. It does not constitute legal advice, and laws vary by jurisdiction and change over time.
EchoPM, Inc. provides technology only. We do not verify that listings, user conduct, or leasing decisions comply with fair housing laws and disclaim liability for user conduct to the fullest extent permitted by our Terms of Service. Property managers and owners remain solely responsible for their leasing practices and compliance with applicable law.
